The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) today withdrew and terminated a proposed policy statement proceeding that had been opened in October 2020 to examine oil pipeline affiliate contracts.
“We are exercising our discretion to withdraw the Proposed Policy Statement and terminate this proceeding based on our determination that providing additional guidance in this proceeding is not necessary for oil pipelines to demonstrate that affiliate contracts are just, reasonable and not unduly discriminatory under the Interstate Commerce Act,” the Commission said.
